Support

My Support
There are many support teams in my life that I rely on from time to time. Most importantly are my husband, daughter, mother and siblings. My husband has encouraged and supported me through many obstacles in my life. My daughter has always been my strength; her smile gives me the assurance I need to carry on. My father has always been my encourager, he believed in me, and assured me that the world is mine and I could be what ever I wanted to be. When I was a little girl in elementary school, he would call me his little teacher. I thank God he lived to witness three years of me teaching. My mother, who I believe is always waiting to support me in what ever I asked, whether its listening to me talk, cooking for a church event, watching my daughter, shopping or teaching me how to prepare a meal for my family. My mother is so supportive that I would be lost without her. She is sixty-eight years old, still working as a cook at Head Start and working in her garden, just to give them away.
I came from a small community, who share in encouraging and supporting me in my endeavors as well. Most of them are my family members and has been there for me in growing up; these people feed me, dressed me, showed me love and chastised me. I was five years old when my grandmother, but my grandfather was in my life. His loved for us made us feel like we were the only grandchildren in the world. My church family has always prayed that God will give me the strength to carry out His will in my life; and there are my co-workers, who has supported me in dealing with the death of my father, finding resources for my parents at school and they supported me in my first on-line class. I thank God for a support team that I can rely on.
